Nest offers an array of smart home products that efficiently work together to improve users daily lives. Customers looking to elevate their Nest experience can do so by adding a subscription service to unlock features and increase service coverage.
Understanding Nest Aware
Nest Aware adds extra intelligence to users’ Nest Cams by unlocking special features and extended video history. Users have the option to pay monthly / annually or continue without a subscription. They can cancel at any time, swap subscriptions between cameras, upgrade or downgrade their subscription levels.

We developed a system of stackable cards that could accommodate for multiple device types in various states. These cards visualized device/subscription pairings in a more coherent way. Our goal was to clearly communicate which device the user was interacting with and surface information that was most useful at a glance.

Our biggest challenge was to figure out a way to work within the existing framework on the Nest account pages. This forced us to think critically about our card design and ensure that it could hold up on it’s own.

As Nest introduced a new security system to their product line, we had to expand our subscription management system accommodate for new types of subscriptions. Additionally, new subscription bundles were introduced and sold by third-party providers.
Cellular Backup helps Nest Guard stay connected to your phone if your home’s WiFi network stops working. Pro Monitoring communicates with trained agents to confirm alarms validity. They can also contact police if need be.
